Beirut Man Charged With Child Exploitation

A citizen of Beirut, Lebanon was arrested in Limestone County, Alabama Wednesday for electronic solicitation of a child.  The child was contacted by Kong Pal, age 26, who at the time was residing in Franklin. Pal traveled to Limestone County on January 18, picked the child up, and transported them to another location.  The family quickly reported the child missing, and Pal subsequently abandoned the child in cold conditions and fled from the area.  Pal was quickly identified and arrested in Franklin. He is charged with electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for unlawful sex acts. Bond has been set at $1.5 million.
