Imogene Dickson Garner, age 94, of Ethridge, TN passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at her home. She was a native of Ethridge, TN, a retired farmer, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Garner was a member of Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ladies Guild, and Farm Bureau Ladies Group. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and cake decorating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Vinnie Mae Blackwood Dickson; her husband, Bob Garner; daughter, Sharon Garner Andrews; son, George William Garner; two brothers, Gene Dickson and Albert Dickson; and three sisters, Thelma Dickson, Edith Flowers, and Edna Butler.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Harris (Mark) and Nancy Niedergeses (Tim), both of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sons, Robert Glenn Garner (Donna), John David Garner, and Albert L. Garner, all of Ethridge, TN; nine grandchildren, Mark Andrews, Brandy Andrews Jones (Randy), Elizabeth Harris Burks (Brian), Sara Harris Ghirawoo (Michael), James Robert Harris (Tina), John William Harris (Fernanda), Robert G. Garner III, Tiffany Garner Pendergraph (Matt), and Richard Garner; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Nancy Garner Langdon of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special “Thank you” to caregivers, Robin Hunt and April Sellers for their love and support in taking such great care of our mother and to Caris Healthcare.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home with a rosary to follow at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be conducted at Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Monday, February 2, 2026, with Father Andrew Forsythe officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Heart School or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
