Cold Weather Advisory issued for WLX Listening Area

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the counties of Lawrence, Giles, Maury, Marshall, Lewis, and Wayne, that will be in effect from midnight tonight through noon Monday. Very cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero are expected Saturday and Sunday mornings, and most of the area will remain below freezing through Monday midday. These cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the counties of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin (AL), Limestone, Lawrence (AL), and Lincoln (TN), that will be in effect from 11 tonight through noon Sunday. Very cold wind chills ranging from 4 below zero to 5 above zero are expected. Frostbite and hypothermia may occur if skin is exposed to these conditions.
