On Wednesday, January 14, deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported theft at a home on Long Branch Road. The call came in around 7:52 PM. The homeowner reported that a black 5×8 single-axle trailer with a mesh deck, a DeWalt 3300 PSI pressure washer, a red push mower, and red gas-powered hedge clippers were missing. The resident said there was no forced entry and the garage, which has no front door, could not be secured.

The resident also noted damage to the trailer and that the bottom of the hedge clippers was zip-tied. There are currently no cameras on the property, and no other items were reported missing. Deputies advised the homeowner to consider adding security measures and said extra patrols would be conducted in the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
