Three Qualify for Loretto Election

Three people have qualified to seek election in the Loretto City Election slated for April 28.  Two seats are up for grabs in the election.  Alderman John Pettus opted not to seek reelection.  Both Louis Andy Etienne and Ridge Mattox qualified to run for that seat.  The second seat appearing on the ballot is that of mayor.  Incumbent Steve McMasters met all qualifying requirements and will seek reelection unopposed.  Residents wishing to cast a vote must be registered by the deadline of March 30.  The early voting period will run from April 8 through 23.  Early voting will be held at the offices of the Election Commission, now located at 702 Mahr Avenue in Lawrenceburg.
