LCHS Warns of Sports Fundraising Scam

Officials with Lawrence County High School have issued a warning to the public about a possible scam involving a fundraiser for sports teams.  Several people have reported received calls from “Chris in Columbia” claiming that he is raising funds for the local teams.  School officials say this is not true.  Any LCHS sport that is raising funds will do so directly through their players or booster club.  Should you be contacted in this manner, you are urged to contact the school, message them through social media, or contact local law enforcement.
