Lawrence County Board of Education to Hold Work Session Jan. 15

The Lawrence County Board of Education will hold a work session on Thursday, January 15, at 4:30 p.m. The agenda includes the pledge and roll call, followed by discussion of several items, including a report on the MGT Growth Study, public service announcement input, fine arts in the Lawrence County School System, and a review of the cell phone policy (Policy 6.312), including a Warren County policy report from the TSBA Conference. Board members will also receive an update on the sale of the Southern Tennessee Higher Education Center to Columbia State Community College, including funding for a multipurpose facility at Lawrence County High School and a new gymnasium at Summertown High School.
