Flood Watch Continues Through Noon Saturday for WLX Listening Area

Tennessee: Lawrence, Giles, Wayne, Lewis, Maury, Marshall, Bedford, Hickman

Alabama: Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison

Excessive rainfall may lead to flash flooding, with creeks and streams rising out of their banks and flooding possible in low-lying or urban areas. Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Showers will begin Thursday night and increase Friday, with the heaviest rain expected Friday night. Residents in flood-prone areas should monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action.
