Cathy’s early years in Lawrence County were filled with the love and guidance of her parents, Charles and Virginia Humbert. Her father, Charles, preceded her in death, leaving a legacy of strength and integrity that Cathy carried throughout her life. Her mother, Virginia Smith Humbert, remained a constant source of support and love, and survives her. She is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Otha and Ivor Smith.
Cathy’s passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career as an LPN, where she provided compassionate care and comfort to countless individuals. Her dedication to her profession was evident in the gentle manner with which she treated her patients and the respect she earned from her colleagues. She was a member of Salem Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Prince (David); and three grandchildren, Kayla, Dominic (Lexie), and Caden Prince. Cathy also leaves behind two half-sisters, Karen Himes Baird and Felicia Niva. She is also survived by her special aunt, Cerena Littrell.
