Flood Watch in Effect Friday Through Saturday Morning in the WLX Listening Area

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from Friday morning through Saturday morning for the following counties in the WLX listening area:

Tennessee: Lawrence, Giles, Wayne, Lewis, Maury, Marshall, Bedford, Hickman
Alabama: Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison

Excessive rainfall may cause flash flooding. Creeks and streams could rise out of their banks, and low-lying or urban areas may flood.

Expected Rainfall: 1.5 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.

Showers begin Thursday night and increase Friday, with the heaviest rain Friday night. Residents in flood-prone areas should monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action.
