Salvation Army Raises $14,000 to Assist Families

The Lawrence-Wayne County Salvation Army Service Unit extends its heartfelt gratitude to the community for the overwhelming support during the recent Red Kettle Campaign. This year’s campaign raised more than $14,000 to assist individuals and families in need throughout Lawrence and Wayne Counties.  Lawrence Countians again manned the kettle after a 12 year absence, and the Collinwood High School Student Council became the first school-sponsored group to participate in bell-ringing in Wayne County.
