Bobby was a man of many talents and interests. His career as a pipefitter welder spanned many years, during which he was a proud member of Local 572 and 798. Upon retirement, he found great pleasure in the outdoors, whether he was hunting or enjoying a day of bass fishing. Bobby’s love for sports was evident in his unwavering support for the Tennessee Volunteers, a passion he shared with friends and family alike. A devout member of The Tabernacle Church, Bobby’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. His presence in the church community will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillie Staggs Ambrose; his beloved wife, Louise Curtis Ambrose; his brother, Bill Ambrose; his nephews, David and Kenneth Ambrose; and his sister, Wanda Holloway.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Sherry Chapman (David); his sons, Kevin Ambrose (Sandy), and Kasey Ambrose (Lisa); and his seven grandchildren, Jordan Tucker, Molly Tucker, Emily Blasingim (Chad), Curt Ambrose (Ashlee), Konnor Ambrose, Jase Ambrose (Macey), and Katherine Ambrose. His five great-grandchildren, Evelyn Pearl, Noah, Lincoln, Grant Blasingim, and Beau Ambrose, brought him immeasurable joy and laughter. Bobby’s best friend, Bobby Giles, stood by him through thick and thin.
Those who knew Bobby will remember his love for watching his grandkids play, his fondness for ice cream, and the twinkle in his eye when he shared a story or a joke.
