Anthony’s early years in Lawrenceburg laid a strong foundation for the man he would become. He grew up surrounded by the love and guidance of his parents who preceded him in death. This close-knit family instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of community, which he carried throughout his life.
A true pillar of the Lawrenceburg community, Anthony dedicated many years of his life to Jones Home Furnishings, where his commitment to customer service earned him the respect and loyalty of his customers.
Anthony’s love for his family was unparalleled. He is survived by his two daughters, Mallory Oldham (Drew) and Tessa King, both of Lawrenceburg, TN; his son, Clay King of Murfreesboro, TN; and his seven adored grandchildren, Jack Oldham, Henry Oldham, Duncan Oldham, Winnie Oldham, Mela Smith, Vayda Smith, and Scout Smith. Each of them brought immense joy to his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was at a family gathering or just a quiet afternoon at home.
Beyond his family and business, he was an avid fan of UT Football and the Chicago Bears. His love for music was evident to anyone who knew him, as was his talent for woodworking. A Corvette enthusiast through and through, you might also catch him waxing the clear coat off the car.
Anthony’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and service. His memory will be treasured by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind. Anthony’s life was a testament to the beauty of embracing one’s passions and the importance of family and community. He will be deeply missed, but his warmth and kindness will never be forgotten.
