David Paul Bennett, age 62, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 29, 2025, in his hometown of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Born on August 10, 1963, in the same close-knit community, David’s life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family and the simple joys that come from a life well-lived.
David was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Richard Paul Bennett and Mary Sue Tidwell.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Terrie Bennett, was his partner in every sense, sharing with him the joys and sorrows of life. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Cassondra Clayton (Wes), Phillip Bennett (Amanda), and Jazmine McGee, who each reflect a part of David’s kind spirit and generous heart. His four grandchildren, Chanceton Bennett, Jaxon Clayton, Carter Bennett, and Canon Bennett, will miss their grandfather’s playful teasing and the unconditional love he showered upon them.
David was also a beloved brother to his seven siblings, Marshall Dial, Linda Collier, Tammy Butler, Wendy McGee, Anthony McGee, Sharon Burlison, and Karen Tucker. Each sibling held a special place in his life, and their shared memories will continue to bring comfort and laughter in the days to come.
Professionally, David was a dedicated fork lift operator at Living Stone Freight, where his strong work ethic and reliability made him a valued team member. His colleagues knew him as a man who could be counted on, both on and off the clock.
A man of faith, David was an active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. His commitment to his church community was evident in the way he lived his life, always striving to be a source of light and guidance to those around him.
David’s love for sports was well-known, especially his passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Vols. Watching football games was more than a pastime; it was a way for him to connect with friends and family, sharing in the highs and lows of each season.
