The Lawrenceburg Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Beckham Avenue at approximately 8:20 p.m. Thursday, December 18.
Initial reports indicated heavy fire involvement with an occupant unaccounted for. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire conditions and began a transitional attack. As firefighters prepared to make entry, the occupant was confirmed to be safely accounted for at another location.
Fire crews worked for an extended period conducting interior firefighting operations and ventilation before bringing the fire under control. The scene was then turned over to the Lawrenceburg Fire Marshal’s Office, where the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
The Lawrenceburg Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Ethridge Fire Department and New Prospect Fire Department. Cross Roads Fire Department provided coverage for other calls during the incident.
