A line of storms is expected to develop along a cold front in portions of the Lower Ohio and Tennessee Valleys on Thursday. Low-level moisture will move north ahead of the front, producing marginal instability. Near the Tennessee-Mississippi-Alabama border, dewpoints in the upper 50s to low 60s will create the greatest potential for isolated damaging wind gusts, though upper-level forcing is weaker, so the extent and strength of storms remain uncertain.
