Huntsville Officer Recognized for Heroic Actions

A Huntsville Police Officer has been recognized for her heroic actions, saving the life of a resident who had become trapped in recent floodwaters.  Huntsville Police officials indicate that she waded into waist-deep waters to rescue the man, who was suffering from hypothermia. With the assistance of a second officer she was able to pull the man to safety.  The man’s core temperature had dropped to around 90 degrees.  Officials said had he remained in the water any longer, he might not have survived.
