Authorities say a woman was struck by a vehicle Thursday evening while attending the Florence Christmas Parade, according to Shoals Insider.
Florence Police Department officers responded at 7:29 p.m. along the parade route after the adult female was hit. She sustained leg injuries but was conscious and able to communicate with first responders at the scene, FPD spokesman Josh Meza said.
Because of the nature of her injuries, the woman was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for further treatment. The extent of her injuries is not yet known.
The incident remains under investigation by the Florence Police Department.
