The Maury County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shooting overnight from Thursday (12/11) into Friday (12/12) near Bluegrass Drive, where one person sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities say the individual responsible has been taken into custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Residents may notice an increased law enforcement presence in the area as deputies process the scene, collect evidence, and continue the investigation. Officials say this heightened presence is standard procedure.
