Lawrence County Fire & Rescue reported a busy 12-hour period on Wednesday, December 10, answering five calls for service, four of which occurred during daytime hours when many volunteers are unavailable due to work.
Crews responded to an unresponsive person with CPR in progress, a reported fire at a healthcare facility, a motor vehicle crash with entrapment, a high-priority medical emergency at a school, and a large brush fire.
According to the department, each incident received an immediate and appropriate response, with new working relationships and updated deployment strategies helping improve overall public safety.
