Regina Kay “Gina” Chandler Pitt

Regina Kay “Gina” Chandler Pitt, 59, of Hillsboro, AL, passed away December 6, 2025, at UAB Medical West in Bessemer, AL. She was a Medical Assistant at Med-Plus and for Dr. Timothy Ashley Family Practice and was in the medical field for over 30 years. Gina loved to travel, boating and camping and was of the Church of Christ faith. 

 

Wanda, Sarah, Tammy, Ashley & Miranda were the light of her life, and she loved them so much.  They also made sure she had everything she needed every day. Raelynn & Braxton loved their GiGi and they made her smile just by walking into the room. She referred to them as her babies.

Aunt Hilda Comer – her special aunt was like a second mom and she loved her dearly.  

Katina Waller was her best friend.

Son:  Chandler Kelley (Madison)

Daughters:  Ashley Pitt & Miranda Pitt Sutton (Ryan)

Brother:  Kevin Chandler (Kim)

Sisters:  Trish Wilson (Randy) & Rhonda Clemmons (Jim)

Grandchildren:  Raelynn Sutton & Braxton Sutton

Sisters-in-law:  Sarah Dunlap, Wanda Davis, Tammy Jones, and Kim Chandler

Brothers-in-law: Judson Pitt (Kathy), Joe Pitt (Patricia), Gerald Pitt (Rose), and Jimmy Pitt (Ann)

Nephews:  Cain Weaver, Colt Clemmons & Blake Chandler

Niece:  Morgan McCormack

 

Preceded in death by:

Father:  Danny Armon Chandler

Nephew:  Daniel Clemmons

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 10:am – 12:00pm, at Lone Cedar Church of Christ.  The funeral service will follow, at 12:00pm, at the church, with Bro. Tim Grigsby & Dr. Tim Ashley officiating.  Burial will be at Pitt Family Cemetery, 943 Co. Rd. 372, Hillsboro, AL 35643.

 

Pallbearers will be: Cain Weaver, Colt Clemmons, Rowe Clemmons, Ryan Sutton, Zaine Pitt & Kody Braidfoot.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be:  Parker Shake, Jim Clemmons, Randy Wilson & Blake Chandler.

 

The family would like to say a special thanks to:  UAB doctors & nurses for their excellent care; Centerwell Home Health nurses for their excellent care; sisters-in-law: Sarah Dunlap, Wanda Davis & Tammy Jones; Ashley Pitt & Miranda Pitt Sutton; Aunt Hilda Comer.
