The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department announced that following a months-long investigation that ended in Lawrence County, law enforcement officers seized over 21 pounds of methamphetamine, a significant quantity of fentanyl, and multiple firearms during the operation. This is the largest seizure of methamphetamine in Lawrence County’s history.
The investigation was led by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pulaski Police Department. More details will be released as soon as they are cleared by the FBI.
Sheriff John Myers stated, “This was a crime syndicate, plain and simple. It spanned across our state from Memphis to Nashville and down to our county. Dismantling this organization was one of the most fulfilling things we’ve ever done, and it has drastically diminished the meth supply in our county. I couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved.”
