NHC Scott Healthcare is reaching out to the Lawrenceburg community and surrounding areas to raise awareness about senior fall prevention and to recruit volunteers for its Life Enrichment Program.

According to NHC Scott officials, preventable falls remain a serious safety concern for seniors each year. Through increased community involvement and daily engagement activities, the facility hopes to reduce risks while improving quality of life for its residents.

As part of this effort, NHC Scott is seeking community members to serve as “Day Room Angels.” These volunteers assist with fun and enriching activities designed to keep residents active, engaged, and socially connected in a safe environment.

Those interested in volunteering can contact Shaun Jakeman, Life Enrichment Director, at 931-762-9418. Volunteers may also visit the facility in person at NHC Scott, 2380 Buffalo Road, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, for more information.

NHC Scott officials say becoming a Day Room Angel is a meaningful way for community members to give back while helping seniors enjoy a safer, more fulfilling daily life.
