Lawrence County Commission Meeting Recap – 11/25

At their Tuesday meeting, Lawrence County Commissioners approved committee elections and new notaries and handled several budget-related items. A resolution to contribute toward the North Brace Road water line extension was amended from $9,000 to $15,000 and passed as amended.

Commissioners also approved funding for highway equipment, discussed school budget changes, and considered adding Sawyer Lane to the county road list. Additional actions included appointments to the Emergency Communications Board and discussion of proposed speed limit changes for Gibbs Road and North Point Drive.
