Eugene was the beloved son of the late Henry Knuckles and Rosa Hensley Fowler.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of many years, Kathrine Knuckles. Together, they created a home that was a haven of warmth and affection. Eugene’s legacy continues through his children, who brought him immense pride and happiness: daughters Sandra Phillips of Ethridge, Kay Robinson of Lawrenceburg, and Sasha Hobbs of Ohio; sons Walter, Charles, and Perry Knuckles, all of Lawrenceburg, and Shane Ritchie of Ohio. His life was further enriched by the presence of his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his stories and memories. Eugene also leaves behind his sister, JoAnn Scott of Ohio, who will miss him dearly.
Eugene’s working life was spent among the trees as a skilled climber for a tree service, a job that spoke to his love for nature and the outdoors. His retirement years were filled with the simple pleasures he loved most: fishing in the tranquil waters and tinkering with small engines, always finding satisfaction in making things run smoothly again.
