Sheriff’s Department Announces 2025 Shop with the Sheriff Event

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department has announced plans for the 4th annual Shop with the Sheriff, an initiative designed to foster positive interaction between at-risk youth and local law enforcement officers.

The event will take place Monday, December 22, beginning with lunch at McDonald’s at 1 p.m., followed by shopping at Walmart at 2:30 p.m.

Local businesses and individuals are invited to support the program through sponsorship donations at the Sheriff’s Office through December 17. Sponsorship levels include $50 for weekly mentions on the radio, $100 for weekly mentions on the radio and Facebook, and $200 for mentions on the radio, Facebook, and inclusion on a sponsor banner.

The Sheriff’s Department noted that the effort aims to build trust and create meaningful experiences for area children during the holiday season.
