Maury County Fire Department units were dispatched at 12:40 PM Tuesday, November 18, to Cole Bend Road for a vehicle fire and a brush fire. Responding units included Brush 21, Engine 30, Squad 32, Tanker 21, and OPS 20.

Upon arrival, crews found that a tree had fallen on power lines, sparking a brush fire that eventually ignited a car. Duck River Electric technicians, who were checking on the power outage, discovered the fire and reported it to 911.

The fire was contained to less than an acre and one vehicle. No injuries were reported.
