Raymond Ross Love, Jr., aged 79, of Summertown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025. Born on June 2, 1946, in Jackson, Tennessee, Raymond was a man whose life was characterized by profound dedication to his family, his country, and his faith. His gentle spirit and unwavering support left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Raymond Ross Love, Sr. and Frances Pearl Maroney Love; his brothers, Travis Love and Joe Love; and his respected son-in-law, Matthew Burdette. His legacy continues through his loving wife of 51 years, Pam Love, and their children: Elisha Burdette of Summertown, TN; Stephen Dwain Love (Michelle) of McKenzie, TN; Eric S. Love (Elysia) of Ethridge, TN; Travis Love (Connie) of Richmond, KY; and Jason Love (Amanda) of Summertown, TN. His sister, Dianne Howell of Jackson, TN, and his brother, Richard Love of Malesus, TN, also survive him.

Raymond’s memory will be cherished by his fifteen grandchildren: Shawn Love, Lauren Love, Trace Love, Ashlyn Conatser, David Burdette, Emily Burdette, Tessa Love, Makayla Love, Cavin Love, Dalton Love, Jenna Love, Cody Love, Trenton Love, Evan Love, and Logan Love. His joy was further multiplied by his five great-grandchildren: Winston Toothman, Olivia Toothman, Sreya Love-Govind, Sigfrid Conatser, Raymond Conatser, and one more great-grandchild; six sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.

After serving his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, Raymond retired from a fulfilling career with Koch Transport. His work ethic and integrity were evident to all who worked alongside him. As a devout Christian, he lived his faith through action, heavily involved in men’s ministries and embodying the love and compassion he believed in so deeply.

Raymond’s interests were a reflection of his love for the outdoors and for his community. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace in the beauty of nature. He loved walking around Walmart and handing out dollar bills to kids. He also enjoyed taking drives around the countryside. His grandkids’ ball games were a source of immense pride and joy, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer them on from the stands. Raymond was also renowned for his whole hog BBQ, a talent that brought together family and friends in celebration and fellowship.

Raymond Ross Love, Jr. will be remembered for his steadfast presence, his generous heart, and his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. His life was a testament to the values he held dear, and his memory will be honored and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2025, with Tony Shults and Steve Seaton officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Grove Cemetery in Summertown, TN with full military honors. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
