Shelter Officials Address Lawrenceburg Rotary Club

The Shelter, Inc., Director Karen Niedergeses and Lead Advocate Brittany Evans were the guest speakers at Friday’s meeting of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club.  The Shelter is a safe haven for victims of domestic violence.  The pair explained the organizations’ mission, services, and current needs, as well as issues regarding victim advocacy.  At any given time, The Shelter is meeting the needs of between 30 and 40 clients, and is currently providing housing for 8 individuals.  All services and salaries rely entirely on funding from the community.
