Mount Residents Reminded Not to Burn Leaves

The Mount Pleasant Fire Department is reminding residents that it is against the law to burn leaves inside the city limits.  Leaf smoke can cause issues for those with chronic health conditions and also causes a public nuisance.  Residents are asked to bag leaves and leave them at the roadway for collection by the city Sanitation Department.
