LUS Works on Water Issues

Lawrenceburg Utility Systems has continued efforts to ensure that water moving through the system is safe, as it has been affected by the draining of the lake at Crockett Park into Shoal Creek. Customers have reported that both water smell and taste have been affected.  Both Shoal Creek and Hope Spring are sources of drinking water for area residents, however drawing from Hope Spring alone does not allow enough supply to provide for all customers.  They report that water is being treated and tested regularly, and that all water entering the distribution system is safe for consumption and use.  Lines are being flushed, and they hope it will soon be back to normal.
