Mount Pleasant PD Reports Scam

Residents in the Mount Pleasant area have reported receiving several scam calls from persons claiming to represent Mount Pleasant law enforcement officers or federal law enforcement agencies.  The caller claims to have an arrest warrant for failure to report for jury duty.  Officers emphasize that this is a scam and are asking residents to refrain from giving out any personal information.  Anyone who receives such a call is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency to file a report.
