Several Lawrence County officials — County Clerk Russ Brewer, Circuit Court Clerk Tommy Lee Kidd, Register of Deeds Terra Dickey, and Trustee Kiley Weathers — are attending the County Officials Association of Tennessee (C.O.A.T.) Annual Conference in Gatlinburg this weekend.

The conference provides local officials the opportunity to learn about new legislation, receive updates from state offices, and discuss best practices that help better serve the citizens of Lawrence County. Through workshops and sessions, participants gain valuable insight into how upcoming legislative changes may impact local offices and the services they provide every day.

While away, the officials extend their gratitude to all those participating in the Lawrence County Veterans Day Parade, expressing appreciation for local veterans and their sacrifices.

They look forward to bringing home new ideas and information to continue improving their offices and serving the community.
