Lawrenceburg Utility Systems (LUS) says it is aware of ongoing issues with the taste and smell of water throughout its distribution system. Officials say they are mitigating the issue through standard treatment processes, but the recent introduction of a large amount of lake water into Shoal Creek means it will take time for water quality to return to normal. LUS confirmed that all water entering the distribution system meets state safety levels. Crews are continuing to flush the system, and officials expect water quality to improve over the next few days. The utility apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks residents for their understanding.
