Margie Dean Bradley, aged 93, a lifelong resident of Lawrence County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, in Ethridge, TN. Born on September 11, 1932, in Lawrenceburg, TN, she was a daughter to the late Woodward “Bob” and Mary Louise Bosheers Payne. Margie’s life was one of devotion, not only to her family but to her community as well.
Margie’s early years in Lawrenceburg were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of small-town life. After marrying the love of her life, Dillard Buddy Bradley, she dedicated herself to creating a loving home for their children. She embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and strength, and as a nursing tech at Crockett Hospital where she cared for others with compassion and diligence.
Margie was a woman of many talents and interests. Her hands were rarely still, as she found joy in dancing, an activity that brought light to her eyes and a skip to her step. She was also skilled in the arts of crochet and quilting, crafting beautiful pieces that became treasured family heirlooms. Her garden was a testament to her love for nature and her green thumb, providing both beauty and sustenance for her family. Above all, Margie was a caregiver, always placing the needs of her family above her own and ensuring that each member felt loved and supported.
Margie’s life was one of profound love and legacy, as evidenced by her large and adoring family. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, her beloved husband, Dillard Buddy Bradley, her cherished sons, Keith, Wade, and Bud Bradley; and her precious great-grandson, Adam Carroll, Jr. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her four daughters, Debbie Hearn of Ethridge, TN, Markeila Johnson (Johnny) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Marcie Tariche (Robert) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Ann Darnell (Thomas) of Pulaski, TN; and two sons, Rossi Len Bradley and Marty Bradley (Lisa) both of Ethridge, TN. Her legacy extends through her siblings, Doug Payne (Bernice) of Leoma, TN, and her sister, Joy Bryson of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Margie’s life was further enriched by her twenty-three grandchildren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren, and seventeen great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She instilled in them the values of love, perseverance, and the importance of family, lessons that will continue to guide them through their lives.
Her self-sufficiency until the age of 91 was an inspiration to many, demonstrating that age is but a number and that the spirit can remain youthful and vivacious even as the years pass.
As we bid farewell to Margie, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart well-loved, and a legacy that will continue to flourish in the lives she touched. Her memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family and friends forevermore.
