Lawrence County Fire & Rescue crews responded Wednesday evening to a serious crash with entrapment on Prosser Road in the Leoma community. Shortly before 6:30 p.m., units were dispatched after an automated crash detection alert and a 911 call reporting cries for help. When first responders arrived, they found a vehicle in a field, barely visible from the roadway. One of the three occupants had serious injuries, and another was trapped inside the vehicle. Fire and EMA personnel quickly extricated the trapped patient. WLX reports that all three victims were treated at the scene and transported by Lawrence County EMS for further care. Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Responding fire units included Leoma Rescue 11, Crossroads Rescue 11, and Leoma Engine 12.
