Travis Harold Coleman, known as “Chad” and “Bo”, of Fairhope, Alabama passed away October 25, 2025, at the age of 78, with his devoted wife by his side. Chad proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. He was in the Special Investigations and Counter Intelligence unit and was the Senior Enlisted in the Office of Special Investigations at the detachment at Barksdale AFB. Chad served in Vietnam on Monkey Mountain. Chad was awarded the following: Air Force Commendation Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Service Stars, Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and others.

After retirement he joined the Caddo Parish, Louisiana Coroner’s Office as an investigator and then joined the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department as a patrol supervisor and then commander of an 1100 bed jail. He attended the FBI National Academy and was part of the Caddo Parish Competition Pistol Team. He served in the Sheriff’s Office of Caddo Parish, Louisiana for over 20 years. Chad was a member of the Martin McClanahan No. 384 F.&A.M. Lodge of the Grand Lodge of Louisiana.

Chad loved God, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed Harley motorcycles, poker, Mardi Gras, and German Shepherds. He was a devoted Tennessee Vols fan to which this writer crinkles her nose and says something Chad would say, “you stepped in what?”

Chad is survived by his wife, Juanita L. Coleman; son James T. Coleman; step children Tammy (David) Martin, Jeffrey (Lynn) Hallford, Tanya (Ron) Hendrix; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Chad was preceded in death by his parents, Canara Louise Coleman and James Travis Coleman of Leoma, Tennessee; late wife, Patricia Coleman; a son, Danny Cokor; and granddaughter, Mikhaela Cokor.
