Jubilee Trading Company Visits Lawrenceburg Rotary Club

Lawrenceburg Rotarians welcomed Stephanie Edwards of Jubilee Trading Company as guest speaker at the club’s October 24, 2025 meeting. Edwards shared an inspiring story behind the company’s mission to create sustainable employment opportunities and transform lives through fair-trade commerce. Founded on the motto “Together We Rise,” Jubilee Trading Company operates as a non-profit organization committed to providing meaningful work for individuals in need. The company currently employs artisans in Morocco and Kenya and sells products from other non-profits and local suppliers with orders processed through its Lawrenceburg headquarters on West Gaines Street. The company also partners with The Shelter in Lawrenceburg to provide transitional employment opportunities—typically 10 to 12 hours per week—for individuals rebuilding their lives. While maintaining a local storefront, most of Jubilee’s business is conducted online, offering products through Etsy and other e-commerce platforms, with approximately 50% of sales in retail and 50% wholesale.  Visit their website at www.jubileetradingco.com.
