Pulaski Police officers responded Wednesday afternoon to reports of shots fired in the area of McGrew and Alexander streets. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim was treated by Giles County EMS for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators later located the suspect, 48-year-old Marcus Orlando Williams, at a residence on Brown Drive. Williams was taken into custody and charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, felon in possession of a firearm, evading arrest, and resisting arrest. He is being held in the Giles County Jail without bond pending court. The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are possible. Investigator Lake Foster is leading the case. Pulaski Police thanked the Giles County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for their assistance.
