Jo Ann grew up in the warmth of a close-knit family and carried those values throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her devoted parents, Luther Loyd and Jeanette Hunt Fisher, her brother Bud Fisher, and her sister Brenda Old. Their memories remained a cherished part of her life, as she often recounted tales of their shared laughter and love.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Greg Pollock of Florence, Alabama, who was the pride and joy of her life. Jo Ann’s nurturing spirit also lives on through her siblings, Betty Luker and Christy Fisher Ballard, both of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Tim Fisher (Malinda) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Her several nieces and nephews, each holding a special place in her heart, will dearly miss her thoughtful presence and the way she made them feel special.
Jo Ann’s professional life was marked by her dedication and friendly demeanor, which made her a beloved figure at Jones Apparel and later at Walmart. Her colleagues will remember her not just for her work ethic, but for her ability to brighten the day of anyone who crossed her path.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Jo Jo’s interests were varied and filled with passion. She had a keen eye for shopping, always finding the best deals and treasures. Baking was one of Jo Ann’s talents, with her recipes and delicious creations being the highlight of many family gatherings. Gardening was a refuge for her, where she found peace and joy in the simple act of nurturing plants to blossom and grow.
Those who knew Jo Ann would unhesitatingly describe her as loving, kind, and thoughtful. She had an innate ability to make others feel cared for and valued, a trait that endeared her to many. Her legacy is not only in the lives she touched but in the example she set on how to live with grace and generosity.
Jo Ann Fisher Pollock’s life was a beautiful patchwork of love, care, and service to others. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive by the many hearts she touched. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless ways she enriched our lives. Jo Ann’s spirit, a guiding light of love and kindness, will continue to inspire us all.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 16, 2025 and 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Friday, October 17, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at Pleasant Grove Cemetery at 1:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2025, with Jerry McLain officiating.
