Investigation Underway In Inmate Death at Wayne County Jail

Wayne County Sheriff Shane Fisher announced Monday that an investigation was initiated in connection to the death of an inmate at the Wayne County Jail.  Fisher said the death appears to be medically related and that no foul play is suspected at this time.  To ensure transparency, Fisher requested assistance in the investigation through District Attorney Brent Cooper’s office.
