More alleged victims are coming forward after a traveling veterinarian was accused of sexually abusing an underage girl in Lauderdale County and threatening her mother, according to WAFF. Gregory Ford, 52, who operates a mobile equine veterinary practice, is being held in the Marion County, Florida, jail following his arrest last week on charges of sexual battery of a minor. A criminal complaint in Alabama detailed Ford’s alleged sexual relationship with his underage employee from Florence. Attorney Spencer Kuvin, known for representing victims in high-profile cases including Jeffrey Epstein, Bill Cosby, and Hugh Hefner, is now representing the teenage girl. Authorities believe Ford may have sexually abused up to 15 women, ages 15 to 20, across multiple states. The investigation began in August after the victim’s mother discovered explicit text messages and photos on her daughter’s phone. The day before his arrest, Ford allegedly sent a threatening message to the girl’s mother. The Florence victim, who was 15 when she began working for Ford and is now 17, issued a statement clarifying that the relationship was abusive, manipulative, and not consensual. She described Ford as having cultivated trust with her family, attending church and interacting with relatives to gain access to her. Investigators say Ford sent similar messages to several other alleged victims, making each feel uniquely targeted. His first court appearance on the Florida charge is scheduled for this week, and federal prosecution is expected, which could include the threat made to the Lauderdale County mother. Authorities, Kuvin, and the first victim are urging any additional victims to come forward.
