A bid has been awarded for the construction of a new water treatment facility for the City of Clifton. The Clifton City Commission awarded the bid to Bowen Engineering Corporation, who will oversee engineering and construction. The city was awarded a Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation loan for nearly $16 million. Bowen Engineering submitted the low bid for the project, with total costs estimated at 25 million, 800 thousand dollars.
