Betty Charline Boston Alexander, age 97, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away at her home Saturday, October 4, 2025. She was a native of Florence, AL. As a former member of First Street Church of Christ and a current member of College Place Church of Christ, Betty loved God, his family and her family well. She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed using her talents as a seamstress to sew gifts for those living in nursing homes and to sew baby blankets for the newborns of family and friends. She, along with her husband, Carl, grew beautiful roses that they gifted to friends, family, and many members of the Lawrenceburg community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G.V. Boston and Christine Darmer Boston; her husband, Carl Donald Alexander, Sr.; and her brothers, George Edward Boston and William E. (Bill) Boston.
She is survived by three children, son, Carl Donald Alexander, Jr. (Kaneal) of McMinnville, TN, daughter, Jan Ellen Alexander Meek (Steve) of Franklin, TN, and son, Jack Douglas Alexander of Leipers Fork, TN; her five grandchildren, Daniel Meek (Lindsay), Sara Fricke (Troy), David Meek (Katie), Ryan Alexander (Jillian), and Kristina Lancaster (Matt); her nine great-grandchildren, Savannah and Sawyer Meek, Parker Ellen, Knox and Boston Fricke, Hollis and Lillie Meek, Jensen Alexander, and Addie (and a great-grandson expected in November) Lancaster; three nieces and two nephews. Nephews, great-nephews, and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Compassus as well as Pam Woods and Traci Bivins for their love and care for Betty.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 07, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 07, 2025. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
