Drought Monitor Shows Slight Dry Conditions in Lawrence County

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report shows that as of September 30, 31% of Lawrence County is classified as abnormally dry, while 0.5% is in moderate drought. No areas of the county are currently in severe, extreme, or exceptional drought. The findings mean most of the county is only slightly dry, though a small section has entered official drought status.
