Woman Arrested After Alleged Threats on Weakley Creek Road

On September 24, deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded around noon to a report of a woman allegedly pointing what appeared to be a firearm at passersby in the 600 block of Weakley Creek Road.

When deputies made contact, the woman refused to comply with commands and reportedly yelled profanities. She attempted to leave on a bicycle and was forcibly restrained and taken into custody. She was transported to the county jail and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. No firearm was located at the scene.
