Trial Set for Man Accused of Whataburger Attack

According to Shoals Insider, a man accused of attacking two women at a Whataburger on Florence Boulevard now has a trial date set in Lauderdale County Circuit Court. Florence Police say the incident occurred January 25, 2025, when 27-year-old Adonnis O’Brian Bailey allegedly followed the women into the restaurant restroom and attempted to remove their clothing. The women resisted and escaped, and Bailey was detained until officers arrived. Bailey was arrested and charged with first-degree sex abuse. Court officials say his trial is scheduled to begin December 15, 2025. Court records list Bailey’s address as homeless. He remains held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
