Paul Wesley Garner passed away September 29, 2025, at his home. He was 96 years old, lived in Fall River, and was a member of the Fall River Church of Christ. He liked watching the news, chewing tobacco, and eating fish.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Johnson Garner; his parents, John Wesley “J. W.” Garner and Zadie Alice Glover Garner; stepmother, Ruby Harris Garner; sister, Golda Bassham; brothers, Elmer Garner, Osteen Garner, Grady Garner, Robert Garner, J. R. Garner, J. W. Garner, and Homer Garner; and sons-in-law, Ronnie McDougal and Billy Parker.
Survivors include his daughters, Alice Parker, Brenda McDougal, and Angelia (Kenneth) Dover; six grandchildren, Cindy Stevens (Sean), Brian Parker (Suzanne), Rhonda Reeves (Brandon), Ronnie McDougal, Jr., Tonia Brown (Alan), and Melissa Garland (Joey), four step-grandchildren, Melissa Dover, Kimberly Dover, Quinton Stevens, and Cameron Stevens; eleven great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, October 02, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Fall River Church of Christ at 11:00 AM Friday, October 03, 2025, with Brian Parker and Jonah McCurry officiating. Interment will follow at Fall River Cemetery in Leoma, TN. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
