Charles Matthew Yates

Charles Matthew Yates, age 43, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN.  He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, truck driver for Doss Brothers, Inc., and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.  He enjoyed mechanics and taking his boys fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Yates; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Frances Yates; and his maternal grandparents, Willie Jean Doss Gibson and Johnnie Hugh Doss.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Yates; his mother, Barbara Doss; four sons, Dylan Yates, Kaden Yates, Brayden Yates, and Jaden Yates; one brother, Luke Yates; and step-mother, Kathy Yates.  Those serving as pallbearers are Dusty Purdom, Mike Long, Blake Gallaher, Rodney Yates, Chris Killen, and Lucas Yates.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 02, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, October 03, 2025, with Chad Clanton officiating.  Interment will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
