Lewis Sheriff Offers Firewood for Financially Disadvantaged

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office has a surplus of firewood that is being made available to qualified individuals who burn wood for heat.  Senior citizens and people on a limited or fixed income may stop by the sheriff’s department at 437 Swan Avenue in Hohenwald, and fill out an application.   Firewood can be picked up at the sheriff’s department on Thursdays and Fridays from noon until 4 p.m. beginning Thursday, October 2.
